FSC®

Forest Stewardship Council®

Forest Stewardship Council. Founded in 1993, an international organisation with the goal of sustainable forest use through globally uniform standards. With their product chain certification, the path of wood between forest and end customer is transparent, controlled and documented. Through the FSC logo, the end consumer recognizes that all dealers and processors from the forest strictly adhere to the FSC guidelines with their principles and criteria and can therefore consciously choose a sustainable and ecological product without endangering the needs and biodiversity of future generations. Since 2003, R. Ulrich und Co. (as well as all companies of the IVC-Group) is FSC certified and ambitious to make more and more FSC certified material available to our customers. Meanwhile, more than 50 % of our product range is FSC certified with an increasing tendency to make this a higher percentage.

PEFC™

Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes

Certification system with the aim of ensuring and continuously improving sustainable forest management from an ecological, social and economic point of view. PEFC has been in existence since 1999 and now 2/3 of German forests are PEFC certified. Corresponding forest owners undertake to adhere to the principles of near-natural forest management. In 2003, the significance of Pan European Forest Certification was changed to Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes. The PEFC system documents the path of wood from the forest to the end consumer and thus guarantees that the end consumer can purchase wood from legal sources. Since 2010 we are PEFC certified and offer our customers PEFC certified veneers.
